jonathan and sara martin moved to Los Angeles from texas in june of 2006 with a team of others whose goal was to love God and seek to make him famous in Los Angeles and the rest of the world. they are currently in the midst of seeing that dream become a reality. the first step in their plan to see God loved and made famous in the city wast to establish a community of believers in the neighborhood they were trying to reach. this community is called westsidefaith. to find out more about jonathan and sara's specific vision for Los Angeles you can read and comment on the journal below. to find out more about their personal lives or if you want to join with them in prayer, then click on one of the links to the right to go to their other journals.

7 months going on 8

Living here in Los Angeles now for about 7 months I can begin to honestly say that I have begun to experience much of what LA has to offer. And though it is a city filled with dreams and aspirations, the super- extraordinary, and the everyday-ordinary, museums, beaches mountains, wealth, poverty. I have been introduced to the "black American express card, the latest styles in jewelry and fashion, and though it is, in the standards of this world, a city full of life, as I scratch the surface I begin to find an emptiness. This is a place that though it glories in all of creation it has forsaken it's very Creator.

So much creative talent, so much potential, but so much of it falls short of the Glory of God. I can imagine this place filled with the Spirit of God. The more conversations I have with people here about God, the more i see how even their mockery of Jesus and his followers is a hollow facade. People here do want to know truth, but this world and the principalities in heavenly places, do not want people here to find out truth. For it would become a beacon of light for all the world to see!
